Cheap Flights to USA – So many of them to choose from.
In addition, passengers are now aware of cheap fares within their own countries, and expect to find the same when they are looking for an itinerary to America. In India, for example, there is a thriving low-cost airline industry that promises to fly people from places like Delhi, the capital city, to tens of destinations throughout India for less than the cost of the train, which was the sole method of travel for many in the past when they wanted to move across the vast expanses of Indian territory.
Not just people take cheap flights to the USA. There’s a growing business in sending farm animals to and from the United States. This business started in the 1960’s where Japan started to import live beef cattle from America, in order to get around their high import tariffs on butchered beef. There were entire freight airplanes given over to cow and steer transport. In fact, there was a serious accident with loss of all lives, both bovine and human, in the late 1960’s when a Japan Airlines flight from Anchorage, Alaska to Tokyo, Japan nosed into the Bering Strait because some of the cows in the back of the plane panicked and stampeded, thrusting the center of gravity forward faster than the pilots were able to counteract. The JAL 707, a long and thin, fairly light aircraft, was overwhelmed and the pilots lost all control.
Since that unfortunate incident, the Japanese authorities have relented and allowed imports of butchered beef rather than live cattle, with a resultant reduction in the number of air accidents and probably a reduction in the number of airsick cows as well. Cheap flights to the USA are not just for people and farm animals, however. There’s a big and growing business in sending expensive cars to and from the USA. Since one-quarter of all Porsches extant are in California, there’s a booming business selling used Porsches back to Germany, where there’s a sudden vogue for the older versions of these cars. The flights used to cost over $5,000 per car, but the rates have been coming down as things have gotten more competitive.
